Bloody Mary: Protagonist Hair Design Ideas

Here I roughly sketched five ideas towards my hair design for Bloody Mary, though until I settle on which make up look I want to use, I cannot finalise which design I want to use.

Top Left:
This is a very simple idea and feel it would work well with my first make up design, however, with how plain the make up is for the second two ideas this look really wouldn't work well at all, it would need to be more extravagant and experimental.

Top Center:
This look is very clean and neat, though it is also more interesting and could possibly work with all three of the designs. Thinking about the second design idea from my victim though, this hairstyle would compliment it rather well as the plats hanging down from the sides could be tied around the wrists of Bloody Mary to symbolise the restraints as the victim would have the bruises around their wrists, so this style might be more suitable for the second two design I have done for Bloody Mary.

Top Right:
Going with the idea of insanity and the asylum, this idea is very mad and all the hair has been back brushed to make it messy and out of control. I feel this look would also go better with the last two of my designs as its volume would over-shadow the detailed floral pattern in the first design. Though one again, I feel this look is too easy and doesn't require much effort so I probably won't end up using it.

Bottom Left:
For this look, I took a lot of inspiration from the avant-garde hairstyles I researched previously. I took inspiration from Victorian and Gothic hairstyles and how the hair is sectioned and pinned, though I intend to back brush the hair and make it messier to look more deranged and insane. The plats on either side of the head will also be messy to match to the rest of the hair, and they will then also be tied around the wrists of Bloody Mary to indicate the use of restraints. This hair would be better used with designs two and three, also matching well with the second design I created for the victim character.

Bottom Right:
This was my final idea towards the hair designing, it is just a basic Victorian look matching to Emilie Autumn's own style and would work well with all of my designs for Bloody Mary. However, I have done this look in my previous project and want to test myself further so probably won't use this look though I have considered it.
